"I was referred to Dr. Wolke years ago by a trusted coworker and I have been extremely pleased with her as well as the staff. I have never been disappointed. One year I had another female physician perform my colonoscopy as Dr Wolke was not available. I was a little nervous about it but I was extremely pleased with her as well. I have absolutely no complaints. As well I really liked the fact that the procedure can be done at the facility as opposed to an outpatient facility."

"I was referred by my Allergist. I have seen another GI in a different practice for years. Always felt like a bother, just take medicine, lose weight etc. Dr. Patel looked at the whole picture, not just the presenting symptom. Even though I waited 30 minutes to be seen, it was well worth it, as once she was in the room she was 100% focused on me. She was very kind, professional, and knowledgeable. "

"I visited Dr. Axelrad's practice, The Gastroenterology Group, in Reston, VA, and felt like I was at a used car dealership. In the short time that Dr. Axelrad saw me, it seemed like he was more interested in getting me into the endoscopy center across the hall from the GI Group. What he and his scheduling department failed to tell me was that the endoscopy center is out-of-network for Aetna. So, I rescheduled to see Dr. Axelrad at an in-network facility. The next appointment being more than 6 weeks in the future. I requested a perdetermination of costs, so that I could go into the procedure with a rough estimate of my out-of-pocket expenses. That went ignored. His billing department insisted that I didn't need to know that. So, I cancelled my procedure and I will be seeking out a different physician and facility. By far, this is the worst medical service I have received in my adult life. Save yourself time and frustration-- go elsewhere."
