Primary Care Doctors - Lake Arrowhead, CA

"My insurance changed right when my injury happened. I sprained my ankle, went to urgent care and was told my ankle was not broken but if it does not heal in about a week to see my PCP. At this point my previous insurance had expired and now I needed to wait a couple of days to find a new PCP being that it had been more than a week and my ankle was nowhere near healing I scheduled with the physician closest to my home, I wish I would have done some research. I called to make an appointment the girls in the front desk never answer, their phone line is a cell phone. No answer and don’t call back. It was urgent for me to get an MRI but I couldn’t get one unless my PCP referred me to one. They wanted to schedule me for the ending of November, we were on the first of October. I took the appointment because I had no choice. I spoke to some of my peers and they told me to request a new date because this was urgent, so I called and again the girls did not answer. After work I drove to the office and found the front desk girls in the front desk both on their phones not answering the phone. Red flag number 4 at this point. Finally they gave me an appointment for the 4th. Had I not showed up they wouldn’t of changed my appointment to a sooner date. Finally I saw the doctor. Doctor Dr. Tahseen Najma Shareef was asking me questions and as I was answering she would down play my symptoms and request and me not being a doctor I was understanding. She down played my injury without even looking at my purple swollen ankle. After down playing and pretty much saying I don’t need an MRI. She looked at my foot and said oh wow I just realized it has been 2 weeks and it’s not healing so I’ll put in that request. This was one of the questions I had already answered and she disregarded. I also asked for a knee scooter because I’m working and using crutches at work she told me knee scooters are more for people with knee injuries which is bs. She also said she wouldn’t order it until she got the MRI results, here I am 3 almost 4 weeks on crutches with no boot or scooter to get around. Took my MRI scans and it’s been a week and I haven’t heard anything from my doctor. I called the front desk and no answer. An hour later they finally called me back to tell me the doctor hasn’t looked at my results. After all this I read the reviews on this doctor and it all makes sense. I will definitely be changing my doctor and I hope I get someone that actually cares and does not disregards my concerns. I will never go back to her again. And I hope no one ever has to deal with a doctor like this. I’m waiting for my MRI results going on 4 weeks now and my ankle hasn’t healed. No concerns or care from my doctor. Please don’t refer her to anyone she will not take care of her patients."
