I have had the same insurance for 3 years and have had the nuclear stress test done there before. Now they tell me that my insurance is out of network and the procedure has to be cash pay. I learn this on the day of the procedure. I called my insurance to see what is going on. Insurance confirms that the doctor is IN NETWORK and the PROCEDURE is covered. The doctor moved offices less than a block away and did not update with insurance and that is why they come up as out of network! I tried to explain that there has to be an error on their end but they WOULD NOT LISTEN TO ME and went as far as to tell me that even employees of companies they work for don't always know their insurance and what is covered or who is in network! Can you believe the audacity of there staff to say that to a patient? That may be true for many patients but proper and polite service should not have them speaking to me that way.
