Tina showed up 3 min before my daughters delivery @ 6:50PM. Our daughter labored 12:00am -6:50PM (19 hours). Tina didn't show up even once on Easter Day 2023. My husband & I had time to drive 5 hours from Boise & still be there ALL day! By late afternoon, baby boy was in stress & low heartrate so the nurses had to give our daughter an amnioinfusion & oxygen. And said "the best thing for your baby is to get him out". 20 min later & for liability reason they said "don't push she is on her way" Tina runs in & says "You are pushing too good- let me get my gloves on". Where was Tina all day? With her family for Easter Dinner! Glad she values her family - but what about my grandson's life? I cry every time I watch the birth video. I hope nobody ever witness a lifeless baby be born... and wonder if they just witnessed a stillbirth. Our grandson couldn't latch on, has had delayed developmental & speech delays (2.5 yrs old barely speaks). I have no kind words for this woman.
Tina Nackos and the other midwifes at Orem Midwife Group were exceptional in their care! I wanted a natural birth at the hospital and felt that all of my wishes were respected and followed as closely as they could be given our situations. In the end, we ended up having some interventions but Tina was careful to make sure I was informed about each and did her best to make sure that my baby was safe and wishes were respected. I felt surrounded by angels with this team and really enjoyed my time with them. Important things to note about the OMG: Check with the receptionist to see where each midwife delivers, then check with your insurance to see which hospital you can deliver at and plan your appointments with the midwives that deliver at your hospital. I met a couple of times with each midwife, but finally figured out who would actually be delivering. The office was small and I got to know all of the nurses and staff pretty well over my visits, unlike with the American Fork Midwife Group where there were sooo many nurses and midwives. I would 100% choose them again.
