Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare?: I chose healthcare because I’ve always been drawn to solving problems while helping people through some of the most difficult moments in their lives. Medicine gives me the opportunity to combine science, critical thinking and human connection every day. As a physiatrist, I especially enjoy helping patients regain function, reduce pain and get back to the activities that matter most to them. Seeing someone become more independent or return to doing what they love is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. What I want my patients to know about me?: I want my patients to know that they will always be heard and treated as individuals, not just a diagnosis.
