Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: I chose medicine because of my love for both the arts and sciences. In medicine, I found a career where the two can be combined beautifully to care for others. Specifically, maternal fetal medicine is very interesting and challenging because it's the only specialty where a physician is caring for two patients (mom and baby) at once and having a scientific mindset and a humane touch allow me to serve my patients well.
