Dr. Mowry has removed 4-5 squamous cell carcinomas from my legs. His professionalism cannot be matched! And that includes his staff, from the receptionist to the nurse to the assistant to Dr. Mowry!

I have comparisons. For a short time, my insurance did not cover Dr. Mowry so I was forced to see another MOHS surgeon in Mobile, AL. His staff lacked the professionalism I found with Dr. Mowry's staff. The doctor's manner was lackadaisical and this concerned me since I was very concerned about the surgery. Then I moved out of state and had to have yet another doc in Jacksonville FL perform 3 MOHS surgeries on me. His waiting room was elegant with expensive antiques. But his exam rooms were not very clean. I noticed this on my second surgery. I also noticed the turnover in his staff. The persona assisting him with surgery went to a technical school for her nursing education for 1 year. In addition to this, the surgical site developed an infection and he had to lance it. He did so without deadening the site! My last visit to him I discovered insurance company had "dropped" him, but this was not told me until after the surgery. I am still paying off that last surgery. And that will be my last with this doc!

Now I drive 8 hrs to see Dr. Mowry. I will allow no other MOHS doctor do surgery on me but Dr. Mowry. His bedside manner is kind and nonrushed, he explains everything he is doing, and he cares! His staff is well-trained. He has an RN assisting him. His office and exam rooms are spotless. He takes the surgery seriously as does his staff. They are very particular, following procedures I am sure Dr. Mowry set in place.
