Dr. Richard Delboccio, DMD

I went here on 3/27/2024 for a dental checkup. It was the Fort Myers, Florida location.  I was seen by Dr. Richard Delboccio.  He advised me that I would need $10,612.00 in dental services immediately, not to be broken up in covered Dental plan amount, as an "Investment in my Future"  (which he said multiple times).  I had them send the xrays and forwarded to another dentist.  He advised that I need a cleaning and a few other things, that would be covered in my yearly plan amount.  The rest could be broken up yearly.
I was told my insurance does not cover me.  I was not concerned,  I knew I could submit the invoice for reimbursement.  When I called my insurance company,  I was told I could not be reimbursed by them, they had paid the same day as service,  an amount lower than I was charged.
When I called Sage Dental the office manager was away for the week.  Following call back by me and my insurance company were met with the same response over 4 1/2 weeks.  During that time, I was told that even though I had paid them,  I would have to wait 7 to 10 weeks for my reimbursement.  So they double billed the same day!  (If that happens often enough that's a nice amount for a company to play with).  If you look at Trust Pilot or Yelp on the internet, the other reviews will verify - I will be doing so with anyone else I do any billable service with.
I was like pulling teeth.  The dentist, the office - all seemed only concerned with their own well being.  Not a great attribute for a medical office.
