Michael A. Basso-Williams, D.O., MPH, is an orthopedic surgeon with Norton Orthopedic Institute. He earned his medical degree from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona, and completed his residency at Riverside University Health System in California. Dr. Basso-Williams also holds a master’s degree in public health from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Basso-Williams provides care for patients with musculoskeletal injuries, including fractures, torn ligaments and tendons, and arthritis. His clinical focus includes sports medicine, total knee replacement, minor hand surgery and fracture care. His procedural expertise encompasses shoulder and knee arthroscopy, including rotator cuff and labral repairs, meniscal and ACL reconstruction, as well as fixation of clavicle, humerus, metacarpal, tibia and ankle fractures. Committed to compassionate, patient-centered care, Dr. Basso-Williams strives to treat patients as he would his own family, taking the time to thoroughly explain conditions and treatment options to ensure patients feel confident in their care plan. As a U.S. Air Force veteran and former munitions officer and orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Basso-Williams is passionate about continuing to serve local veterans in Indiana and Kentucky. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, and pursuing outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, mountain biking and off-roading.
