Dr Melanie Baskind joined the Pediatric Hospitalist team at MarinHealth in 2022 after completing residency and a chief resident year at UCSF. As a Hospitalist, she has the privilege of taking care of newborns and children, attending deliveries, and consulting on pediatric patients in the Emergency Department. Practicing patient-centered care and maintaining open lines of communication are central to her values as a physician. Dr Baskind's career interests include working to strengthen our health care system to address disparities and align our work in the hospital with the needs of the community. Outside of the hospital she loves spending time with her family, hiking, backpacking and playing soccer in a local women's league.
