I knew I was passionate about pursuing a career in midwifery when I had the opportunity to study abroad and work hands-on in South Africa and Tanzania for five weeks during my senior year of nursing school. Shortly after nursing school, I started working as a labor and delivery nurse and fell in love with the labor process and caring for women while helping them feel supported and empowered. In addition to labor and delivery, I enjoy educating and providing support with lactation postpartum. An area of clinical special interest is providing preconception counseling and contraception management. I am so excited to provide continuity of care to women across the lifespan in North Carolina. When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling and watching rom-coms.
