Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare?: Growing up as an athlete, I was introduced to healthcare through my own injuries and became interested in the human body and the process of recovery. Through medical training, that interest developed into a deeper fascination with the complexity of the human experience — not only health and illness, but how our physical abilities affect our identity, relationships and quality of life. My faith and my own life experiences have also given me a profound sense of calling to serve others and have shaped the compassion and perspective I try to bring to each patient encounter.
