I went in due to a referral from my primary Dr, and I was given an eye exam from someone other than Dr. Tsamis.  Not sure if she was an assistant or what, but I told her I could not see distance any longer with my current glasses.  I was given a new prescription for glasses and after getting my new glasses I still can't see distance.  I kept telling her everything was blurry and she kept switching between 2 slides asking which was better, and I said neither they were both blurry.  Then when I did see Dr. Tsamis she was only there for about 10 minutes and seemed to be in a hurry.  They knew I was on Aetna Medicare insurance, but charged me for something that Medicare didn't cover.  I felt they should have disclosed that they were wanting to do something that wasn't covered so I could make the choice.  I had to pay a co-pay and additional charges.  I challenged it, but I was pretty much told SOL.  She may be a good Dr (but not impressed with the eye exam), but I won't go back to anyplace that doesn't disclose additional charges prior to doing the procedure. So now I'm out the co-pay, the additional charges, and the cost of a pair of glasses that are no better than my old ones.
