Mrs. Karen Elizabeth Ady, CNM

Karen Ady is a certified nurse midwife, and OB/GYN at Intermountain Medical Center – Nurse Midwives in Murray, Utah. She supports patients in Murray, Cottonwood Heights, Sandy, and surrounding communities, helping women and families through gentle evidence-based maternity care. Her interest in midwifery started with the births of her own eight children. She has a special interest in labor support and is trained in Spinning Babies and Craniosacral therapy for the birth room. Karen’s philosophy of care surrounds the quote by Barbara Katz Rothman: “It’s not just the making of babies, but the making of mothers that midwives see as the miracle of birth.” She’s passionate about listening to women and encouraging them to take the lead in improving their health. Outside of work, the Eugene, Oregon native enjoys writing, playing the piano and anything to do with design and fashion.
