When I last saw Dr. Pickett, she was very soft-spoken but not very engaged with our conversation. SIince then, I have had many problems getting her to respond to me when I requested prescription refills. Perhaps in her reality a year is only 11 months. I don't know. What I do know is that when I reached the 6 month mark and needed refills for the rest of the year, it took me the better part of 2 weeks and multiple online requests and phone calls to the office to finally get my medications. These are not narcotics. They are maintenance meds I have been taking for years. Now, not ever a year after my annual exam, she is refusing to respond to messages left with the clinic staff, online requests, and requests from the pharmacy on my behalf. I am left without medications that make me a functional human being and I can not reach her to get any assistance or explanation. I was also told she would submit bloodwork orders so I could have my levels checked before we met for my appointment. Four days before the appointment and there were no test orders waiting when I stopped at the lab. So, no medications that I need and no tests to show my levels would be off anyway because she refuses to authorize refills. I don't know if it's apathy or distaste for me as a person, but I do know that this doctor can't be bothered to even pretend she's interested in my health needs. I'm sure she's a nice enough person, but at least for me, she is not able to do an adequate job as my doctor.
