Biography

Dr. Jeffrey Janus is Chair of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, specializing in thyroid cancer, parathyroid disease, salivary gland tumors, and tonsil- and tongue-base cancers. He has extensive expertise in head and neck cancer surgery, including high-volume transoral robotic surgery (TORS) for oropharyngeal and laryngeal tumors. His clinical program includes a rapid access pathway designed to accelerate treatment of head and neck cancers. Dr. Janus and his team also participate in a Mayo Clinic clinical trial to advance precision medicine for HPV-related head and neck cancers, aimed at improving patients' treatment outcomes and quality of life.
