Unfortunately, I was very displeased with my appointment today with Dr. Oliviero. He barely gave me five minutes of his time. He told me that my rotator cuff is causing me pain, basically because I'm old, and I'm only in my early 30's. He told me that I was not holding my arm weight in the exam, in which I was doing the best that I could with the pain I was experiencing. He further argued with me that I'm not feeling pain and stiffness. He insisted that I didn't get injured at work, as if I wanted workers comp, in which I can't receive because I'm self employed. I only wanted treatment for my left rotator cuff that has been causing me pain for nearly a year, and has worsened while working. I'm also in a lot of pain with my right rotator cuff that was recently injured at work. He insulted me, and allowed me no time for questions, and quickly dismissed the two questions that I was able to squeeze in as he quickly rushed himself out the door. He did not give me an MRI (as my PCP requested should happen) on the left shoulder that has been causing me pain for nearly a year. This doctor is very unprofessional and has no respect for his patients, and to insinuate a woman is in pain because she is old is just plain disrespectful and rude. I would never see him again, and I would encourage you if you want a respectable orthopedics surgeon then it's worth the drive to Boston. I would personally recommend Mass General Hospital, and Brigham and Women's Hospital, or truly do your research on someone in NH that has plenty of referrals and 10+ years of experience. As for me, its worth the drive to Boston especially for proper diagnosis, care, and treatment. There's a reason they are number 1. I hope this helps!
