Dr. I. Patel is simply one of the finest physicians that I’ve ever met. She is caring, knowledgeable, and kind. I am fortunate to have her as my PCP. I am a nurse at Kishwaukee Hospital and specifically requested for her to be my PCP after seeing her at the bedside with her patients. I highly recommend her!

Dr. I. Patel is very popular, so I won't hold the punctuality against her, but do know you will be waiting probably 45 minutes after your appointment time to see her. If you are generally healthy, she is a great doctor and very friendly. However if you're dealing with chronic issues, she is very dismissive. She interrupts you repeatedly and if your labs are fine then she dismisses your symptoms.

I went to her with several thyroid symptoms but she could only remember fatigue as a symptom. I tried to correct her but she kept interrupting me. When my labs came back normal she told me I was tired either because I have depression (which I'm already treated for) or because I'm a mother. It's very disheartening.
