Biography

Dr. Hua Shan's area of specialization is blood banking & transfusion medicine. In addition to English, she speaks Mandarin. She attended Peking University Health Science Center and then went on to complete her residency at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Shan's distinctions include: Award for Transfusion Medicine Fellows, AABB (American Association of Blood Banks); Faculty Teaching Award, Johns Hopkins Medical School; and Teaching Award (for a senior faculty member) in Clinical Pathology, Stanford Medical School.
