Dr. Wells, Au.D is by far the worst Audiologist I have ever been to. Possibly the worst “doctor”, which is quite a stretch calling her that. I saw Dr. Wells after suffering bilateral hearing loss. Hearing aids were not effective in my case. After a hearing exam I questioned Dr. Wells about a possible “Cochlear Implant” and in an extremely dismissive, sarcastic tone, and without any hint of empathy, Dr. Wells stated “you aren’t getting a cochlear implant”. She also was extremely dismissive of the results of my hearing test because the onset of bilateral hearing loss was rapid (over night actually.) I was already in a low emotional state, as most anyone would be and Dr. Wells greatly exacerbated my anxiety and suffering. My family and I felt hopeless. Furthermore, the office is tiny and extremely uncomfortable. It’s dirty and the sound room smelled like urine and the equipment was unsanitary and ancient. Since seeing Dr Wells I was diagnosed with bilateral Menieres, and with proper treatment I am doing great. I am on the list for a unilateral cochlear implant and insurance has approved my surgery. I’m so glad to have found an audiologist that listened, made the proper referrals, and had the proper education and experience to take care of their patient. VETERANS: Dr. Wells also sees patients for the VETS evaluation system for VA ratings. While I would like to say this an excellent service to our country, I have a feeling this is how Dr Wells keeps her inadequate practice afloat and is not doing this to assist our veterans. Veterans please, if you are assigned Dr. Wells, request another service provider. You will not get the quality support and service you deserve. What you will get is poor service, sarcastic skepticism, and an examination by an under skilled practitioner. You deserve better. If I had trusted Dr. Wells, I would still be suffering and I would have missed my daughters voice the first time she called me Dada. Go somewhere else, see someone else. Maybe someone who has more than 6 reviews in 5 years of practice. Its a crime they license individuals like Dr. Wells and she brings shame upon her profession.
