Dr. Bichvan Phan, MD

Please do your research before picking this office as your obgyn. My first appointment with her was in November 2025 I thought she would be the perfect fit because she’s walking distance from where I live turns out I was extremely wrong. A little background about me is that I’m a plus sized person. So the first visit I went with her it was ok she did say “have you always been this big or is it the pregnancy” which is a little unprofessional. She never really went in dept with me about how pregnancy was going she would just be like you need to take these blood test and come back in a month. I would asked her questions and she would answer with “I don’t know” or “I’m sure it’s ok”. I never felt truly comfortable with her answers and knowledge. I went to the er for bleeding and the told me to follow up with her and I did. When making the appointment I informed them that I had a “THREATENED MISCARRIAGE ” and the lady making the appointments was like “oh you lost the baby already”. I let that slide because she could have misheard still could have said it in a different way and made my appointment. At my appointment all she did was listen to the heart beat and said “well her heart is bleeding it should be fine “ and  I was asking her is it ok for me to go back to work (I work 12hr shifts) and she said yeah it’s fine. I had my anatomy scan with another doctor and they told me I should of been put on rest due to me bleeding. Honestly she would always say small comments or laugh at me when it had to do with something about my weight. My first trimester I was losing weight my second I gained 5 pounds and she laughed at that. She would honestly be really unprofessional from time to time so I’m asking you if your considering her to be your ob please do your research before hand I’m not the only one who thinks she’s rude, unprofessional, and ignorant to our concerns. Also every appointment made at 9 not once did they show up on time.
