Today was to be my 3rd visit with Dr. Dhatt.  I walked out before I had my appointment. He himself seems like a decent doctor, so I tried to keep an open mind. Today was it. OK Dr. or not, the staff leaves a LOT to be desired.  They are flat out rude and unpleasant on a consistent basis, both in person and on the phone.   That’s not a good thing - especially at your psychiatrist’s office.

I'll start by saying that I'm not the kind of person that fires off bad reviews on a whim or small slight.  I feel that it is so easy to misinterpret things that folks ought to be able to earn an opportunity to make things right.  

That said, I first called the office in mid-January to schedule an initial appointment.  Lady I spoke to was nice enough.  Took my information, said that I may not be able to get an appointment until mid Feb.  I was fine with that.  She said she would verify info and call back to schedule initial visit.  No problem.  

A week later, no call.  I call back to check on progress.  I believe the person I spoke to was a different lady.  Again, nice enough.  Gave her my information because she couldn't find record of call before; no biggie, things happen.  

A week later, no call.  I call to check on progress.  Lady that answers the phone says they don't have my information and need it again.  Give her my information again.  I tell her that this is the 3rd time I've provided my info, and ask if there is an issue with my insurance.  She gets chippy and states that they have to wait on a response from insurance.  I ask if there is something that I should do. She says no.  I ask if they'll call when they get a response.  She gruffs an affirming retort and abruptly hangs up.

Almost a week later, no response.  I call back.  I ask to make an initial patient appointment.  Lady immediately replies they are not taking new patients...

I actually don't mind her telling me this.  But I think the question should be, if you have someone waiting for an answer on a new patient appointment shouldn't you let the person know you cant see them?  I don't want to waste your time or mine, and if you don't have a spot for me or not interested in providing a service just let me know.  But just be professional about it.  

Overall, extremely disappointed with the experience.  I cant even comment on the Dr. because I never saw or spoke with him.
