"From the beginning I should have known this would have been a bad experience. When they called me to follow up on a referral from my doctor they had my information and the man setting up my appointment asked if the appointment was for my husband, and seemed confused that when I told him it was not. I was willing to excuse this, as this person had an accent and was clearly not born in the US, and quite frankly my name is not very common in the states. But then I get to the actual appointment. They made me fill out loads of paperwork that I've never filled out with any other doctor, almost none of which seemed relevant. Then I get to the actual appointment, I'm seated in a room, and after a few minutes of waiting, the assistant on staff runs down the hallway, knocks very loudly on the door, and without waiting a second, opens the door and says I'll be moving to a different room. I thought the protocol was to wait just a moment after knocking to wait for a patient response? None the less it was startling. Then Dr. Falahati gets in, he starts talking to me and before I can finish explaining my symptoms he goes off on how I need to stop a medication because it's the thing causing my problem, I attempted to explain that I have been off that medication before and it caused other problems that were not acceptable, but he interrupted me and continued to talk down to me as if I was unaware of my own health. Finally I asked him "why are you coming in here with an attitude?" and he became defensive and said "I'm not the one with an attitude, you're the one who is trying to prevent your own care!" I asked him if he had even taken the time to review my file and he said "Why would I review your file? I have so many other patients, when would I have the time? I have so many other patients and I'm always running around." So accept fewer patients! He also said he wanted to bloodwork, and I informed him that I had already done bloodwork and it was sent along in my file. He said that they throw out all the bloodwork results done by other facilities because they never do it "right". He said he wanted to do a cortisol test on me, and he wanted me to fast for it. I informed him that I did that about a month prior. I pulled up the results of that, and my other blood work, and even though he said they throw out all the old blood work he still took the time to review all of my test results and tell me what he thought about them in more detail. I eventually got him to stop blaming my medication and listen to all of my symptoms. After that he ordered another cortisol test for me, but nothing else, so I guess the other blood results were to his satisfaction even though he claims other facilities always do things wrong. I also want to add that he kept assuming that the provider who referred me to his office was an OB/GYN, which I found to be a very weird assumption to make. He asks me to schedule a follow up, and at that time we'd review my bloodwork and he'd give me a sample of Ozempic. I had to come back to the office to get my labs done on a different day, and the girl who drew my blood kept screwing up my address when I told her what it was repeatedly. I thought fine, no problem, and I hovered over her and watched to make sure she put it in correctly. Turns out that this was a problem-- I'll get to that later. So I had my follow-up with Dr. Falahati scheduled, and on a Sunday I get a text notification saying I have a virtual follow up with a completely different doctor. The following Monday they called me right as they opened to clarify. I told them that Dr. Falahati promised an Ozempic sample, and that I didn't see the point in following up with another person who I would have to explain my situation to all over again. So far this person has been the only person who has been pleasant to interact with. She said she'd see if she could clarify a few things and call me back. Eventually she called me back and said they'd keep my current appointment as is, and then for future care I would be seeing a THIRD doctor, and that I could get the Ozempic sample by walking in. I'm not sure why Dr. Falahati passed on my care to someone else, but I suspect it has to do with the fact that I wasn't interested in his attitude. I thought fine, I didn't like the guy anyways. But the icing on the cake, and the reason I'm writing this, is because I get a text from them that same Monday around 4:30pm and they are asking me if I managed to get the labs done for my follow up appointment. I did them at their facility, I really have no idea how they managed to lose my bloodwork. If I had to guess, it has something to do with the person who struggled to get my address down correctly. With the exception of the one phone operator, the staff of this office are all around incompetent and/or rude. Take your health seriously, and take it elsewhere."
