"I scheduled a medical appointment in advance and visited the clinic at the scheduled time. I arrived on time, but I was told that there were many patients and was redirected to another provider. That provider examined my symptoms for only about one to two minutes and told me that treatment was needed but that they were unable to provide it themselves. I was then told that I would need to reschedule another appointment. I had already taken time off from my weekday schedule and made an appointment in advance, yet I was told only that I needed to reschedule and that I still had to pay the visit fee. Moreover, I never even met the provider I originally had an appointment with. Under these circumstances, I do not understand why appointments are accepted in advance, or why a provider who is unable to treat my condition would briefly examine me and still charge a consultation fee."
