"I went to Dr. Russ after being frustrated with other Dermatologists. Dr. Russ listens to my concerns. He answers my questions and does a thorough examination of my entire body (I have a history of Melanoma). He tried a different medication for my rosacea, and it has worked well. He's also pretty much on time. I'm a satisfied patient. Not so crazy about the people at the front desk. They appear to be interested in other things than the patients who are signing in. Fortunately Dr. Russ' nurse and Dr. Russ make up for that minor issue. "

"Incredibly poor listener for a physician. Takes no time to understand patient concerns, gets visibly angry when asked a question from a patient. Very rude and condescending attitude. Overall would not recommend. "

"I saw this doctor due to infection in my thumb nail. There was no injury to it. It just had turned red, swollen and painful under and around the nail. I asked if she could removed part of the nail to remove the pressure as I was flying out of the country the following week. She told me to do diluted vinegar soaks and gave me antibiotics. I saw her on a Thursday. By Monday, it was so swollen and painful, I could hardly touch it. I called the office and told them what was going on and that I figured it would be getting better by now with the treatment, but it was getting worse. I also told them I was scheduled to fly to the UK on Wednesday and needed it taken care of. No one called back until the next day, when I was in the ER because the pain had become unbearable and it was so swollen, I could hardly move it. They called the plastic surgeon in, who took one look at it and said part of the nail had to be removed and the the infection drained. After 6 numbing shots, he did that and found a splinter that had been stuck underneath. Unhappy with the care from Dr. Carpenter, both initial treatment and lack of follow up when I called with an emergent issue. Met my out of pocket maximum with that ER visit."
