"Provider ID: 7091408NPI ID: 1568415990 I found their contact number for the Colonia office from Aetna insurance website. When I called to get an appointment to the Colonia office, the receptionist recommended I go to their Perth Amboy office without appointment. After driving 20 miles to the Perth Amboy office, the very rude unprofessional receptionist told me I should go back to the Colonia office and she doesn't know why I went to the Perth Amboy office. I asked to see the doctor for a physical and offered to wait. The receptionist, Lucy, then saw my insurance card and told me she will not do anything for me unless i pay her $60 deposit because I have a $1000 deductible. I reminded her that annual physical is free in my Aetna plan and my maximum copay for PCP is only $30. I asked her to give me a written explanation or show me a memo for the $60 deposit. She refused to talk and asked me to call Vilma at the Plainfield office. Vilma kept me on hold for 45 minutes and could not answer any of my questions including how will the deposit be returned to me if my insurance pays their bills, will I get a receipt for the deposit, will I have to pay an additional $60 as "deposit" every visit? She told me to find a different doctor and hung up the phone. I then spoke to a couple of other patients sitting inside the Perth Amboy office and they all told me their deposits have never been returned to them and they don't ask questions because they are not "legal citizens" of this country. One lady told me that she repeatedly asked to see the doctor but was only able to see the nurse practitioner since somehow the doctor was always unavailable. Another patient told me she has been asking for a written copy of her blood work and has not received it in 3 months. In short, my personal opinion is that this a shady practice that can neither provide documentation for payments or for lab work and the people they hire are rude, unprofessional and don't understand anything about customer service.
