"Dr Jeter provides excellent chiropratic service. However, two things have made us stop using his service. One, my wife is not comfortable with having a massage done (for multiple reasons). But she felt very pressured to have one each time she had a visit. This was making her have anxiety towards going to the doctor (not the effect we were going for). Secondly: Although Dr Jeter's office will file insurance for you, don't underestimate that. For our insurance to have them file the insurance basically doubled the cost compared to being on their "own funded plan." In other words, I could pay them Out-of-pocket $45, or pay $90 and they will file the insurance. So, since most of us are on these wellness plans where we pay all the upfront costs and only get paid by the insurance company after hitting some enormous deductible, which do you choose? For us, we paid the self-funded plan for the first year, but after evaluating, decided that didn't seem right to us. Either accept insurance or don't, but don't pretend you do then make it cost-prohibitive to use. So, we aren't going back to Dr Jeter, not because he can't adjust patients well, but because of the fact that we can't actually "afford" to use our insurance to use him."
