Dermatologists - Fenton, MO

"I started seeing Dr. Petersen last year when about half my hair fell out. He diagnosed me with AA but didn't even say which type. I figured that out on my own. He didn't seem overly concerned and gave me steroid shampoo. I used it as directed and came for recheck and didn't notice any improvement with the shampoo and by improvement I mean in regards to scalp sensitivity and pain as I realize I wouldn't see hair growth in a month. But I gave it more time and also tried some topical liquid which didn't help either. During this time I looked into AA diffuse myself and decided to try omegas, curcumin, zinc and every other thing to do with skin and immune health. During the whole time, Dr. Petersen never asked about bloodwork or anything. He seemed content to hand me the usual topical options and send me on my way. I felt like because I'm not one of his severe cases he wasn't concerned. He also called me the wrong name and asked me on two different visits about my spots and itchiness, neither of which have I ever had. The last straw was when I wanted a certain med and he said no and if I insisted that I should find a new doctor. "
