"Dr. Veloski has a decent personality. However, her bedside manner can use some improvement. After a complete thyroidectomy surgery, I employed Dr. V’s assistance in regulating/monitoring my thyroid hormone levels. In this, I was very disappointed as I suffered greatly with hyper/hypo side effects from her putting me on the wrong dose of thyroid hormone replacement meds. I ended up in the ER a week after my surgery. For the next 3 years I felt horribly hypo. I learned to ask for different meds, better tests. She refused to switch my meds. She was not knowledgeable in the fact that I was not converting the T4 meds into T3. I needed to reduce my T4 hormone and add T3. The best way to do so was for me to switch to a desiccated thyroid extract (natural, pharmaceutical grade). I was able to find a new endo, test my FT3, switch to DTE, and am now nearly back to normal in energy/metabolsim. All my levels are excellent now. "
